WORLD CLASS WINTER
No one forgets that first taste of snow
it’s a magical moment
At Snow King Hotel there is a snow filled activity for everyone in the family. Skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snow machining, snow tubing... anything snow related you can imagine. You can even ski the slopes at night, then warm up next to the fire with a hot cocoa.
With more annual snowfall than other resorts in the lower-48 Rocky Mountain region and endless things to do in Jackson Hole in the winter, the choice is easy to make Snow King your winter playground. You can be sure to find lifts, gondolas, an aerial tram, snow tubing, mountain coaster, nordic trails, sleigh rides, and unbeatable mountain views.
World Class Skiing
No matter your skill level, whether you're a first time skier or got on skis shortly after birth, there is something for everyone in the Jackson Hole area. Ski right next door at Snow King Mountain or take our complimentary ski shuttle to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Explore further and adventure over Teton Pass to Grand Targhee Resort. Follow the below link to read more about each ski area.
Blaze Your Own Trail
Groomed trails and snowy landscapes are abundant throughout Jackson Hole. The only thing that can make it better is when you spot a moose from your skis; that’s what we call a two-fer.
The area around Snow King Hotel and Grand View Lodge is custom-made for traveling by ski. The freedom provided through cross-country ski touring is just minutes outside your hotel room door. Ask our Front Desk team or Concierge staff for suggestions on best routes and rentals.
Earn Your Turns
As if the flight weren’t enough, once you land, that mountain is yours. For those advanced and expert skiers, there’s nothing like hopping in a chopper and letting a guide take you to untrammeled snowfields.
With five mountain ranges surrounding the Hole, you’re sure to find an area you can call your own. Ask our Front Desk team or Concierge staff for assistance with reservations.
Take On Jackson's Trails In the Winter
Just dropped a foot of snow overnight? No worries. Strap on your snowshoes and you can make the most of your nature hike. It’s a whole new world when you explore the mountains and buttes on snowshoe. The winter world opens up in a way you’d never imagine if you didn’t witness it with your own eyes. Moose, deer, elk, marmots and fox might be feeding just around the bend (photography permitted from a distance).
Ask our Front Desk team or Concierge staff for assistance with rentals.
King Tubes Park
Only Style Required
Just when you thought you’d tried it all, suddenly you see someone laughing like a loon while sliding down a big bank of freshly packed snow on Snow King Mountain.
Snow tubing made easy through access with a rope tow and a smooth groomed run, it is a winter sport that is fun for all ages and requires no skill. Anyone over 42" can glide down the mountain on a tube at King Tubes. All tickets include tube rentals. Open when conditions permit.
